You're Losing Me
The clock ticks slow, a metronome of hope, Each second stretching, as I patiently cope. I watch the sun rise, set, then rise again, Still waiting, darling, for your love to mend. My hands are worn, from holding on so tight, My heart grows weary, in this fading light. The promises whispered, now echoes faint and low, The vibrant colors of our love, begin to slow. Your laughter's music, once a joyful sound, Now distant whispers, barely heard around. The touch of your hand, a memory so sweet, Replaced by silence, bitter and incomplete. I see the distance, growing day by day, A chasm forming, where our love used to play. And in this silence, a painful truth I see, You're losing me, and losing me slowly. The patience I held, now starts to fray and break, My weary spirit, for your sake, starts to ache.
