You're Dead
It's been 4 torturous years since I first murmured the words, "You're dead," The shocking moment of pain and grief and realization constantly replays on in my head, You're dead, And there is nothing that could change it, If we could swap seats in Heaven I would, The stars appear so close, and yet they're so far, 6 feet deep is so close, yet so far, sometimes I wish it was me who had bled from the inside, I wish it was me who left without saying goodbye, You left a family behind, 1 who still needed you, But you can't help us anymore, Because you're dead, And with this poem, to the past, I shut the door, once more.
