Your Passing
I just got home from school when I heard the knews Knews that was gonna shatter my heart You were young with stage four lung cancer When I heard you were in the hospital I couldn’t stop myself from the tears that were about to run down my face I wanted to call you and talk to you but I couldn’t Because you were on a ventilator All that was left was the tears A few months later we had a field trip Who knew that was gonna be a bad ending for a trip I was on my way home when my aunt called crying I knew right then and there you were gonna leave this world My aunt wasn’t giving me answer So I wrote my Aunt Kristy and she said “there taking him off the ventilator.” I was shattered, in tears, and I never got a goodbye All I wanted was a goodbye My anger and pain built up and I punched my dresser so hard Leaving a bruise Now I write you with the good news As I know your up there looking down Cause your proud of me But theres so much more you were meant to see So much more But I guess its not gonna happen After your passing school, life, michigan Nothing was the same Cause you were missing from it Come back Just come back please
