your eyes
your eyes....... What can one even say? If eyes are isles to the soul Then your's are the libraries of Alexandria Not just any libraries But the sort furnished with cozy nooks dappled in golden light, where you could lose yourself in ancient manuscripts They are a maze of ink and parchment where you can stumble upon corners so Intimate you'd swear you were the first to discover them. some people fall in love with the beauty of a summer afternoon. But my downfall was your eyes, they aren't just brown, they're the rich velvety shade of chestnuts in the fire. The color of fine bourbon inviting you for another sip They're the shade of mahogany, intricately curved with emotions so complex no photography can truly capture them. In your eyes I find my favorite season a late October twilight They remind me of my favorite old leather bound book so inviting, rich with the sight of the unknown. Your eyes are my undoing and my salvation A paradox so compelling that I'd gladly lose myself just to discover yet another layer Yes your eyes, they're extraordinary
