If in small doses the poison can be the antidote then I doubt that you have enough to be either A young soul, not yet quite lost, but certainly with nowhere to go Julianne She is bright She is charming She is young One to be admired. I once admired her I admired the sense of hope I saw within you It made me feel hopeful Her brilliance seemed to be unmatched But she is lacking She is concerned with vanity, appearances Longing for pomp and circumstance Full of empty words and short-held promises Squandering time, effort, and quality You come and go as you please While persuading your way into exceptional treatment With the options for colleagues, contemporaries, or rivals; she chooses rival And we perform this ridiculous revelry masked in childish rivalry But when you are young your greatest strength is exercising your options to the fullest Yet it does so tire me knowing that these are our future leaders Please Absentee landlords with no work ethic, more like it Absent from the fight Devoid of uplifting light Bereft of fervent might Never stepping for what you stand for You cower from the sight of what you once espoused belief in Belligerently I weep If these are future leaders Then I truly look at them and weep
