When the weight of the world fractures your spine, And you search for hands to lift you from the dust, Raise your eyes beyond the horizon’s line To the One enthroned above, in whom we trust. You will be fine. When sorrow carves its canyon through your chest, And the silence of abandonment grows loud, Remember: the tempest is but a guest, And dawn will yet unshroud the mourning cloud.
