you will always be my spring
you will always be my spring me riding on the center console of the 65 Mustang that you drove going to the dances and to your father's house back and forth from college and my hometown just a few miles away and then me going and joining the Air Force without telling you surprise but you didn't mind you were an Air Force brattÿ anyway and we both got our college degrees got to see some of the world Europe before I got ill and even then we got to see some of the United States before my illness got worse and as we have aged I have become more dependent on you and it should have been otherwise I'm supposed to be the breadwinner not you time has clipped My Wings and I don't fly anymore but you you're still moving along and I don't know what's going to happen to me you're still my spring and you look no different than you did when I first met you still beautiful feel young feel lovely everything I dream of then and now I fell in love with an Angel over 50 years ago and that angel is still here even more today than when I first met you you're my Cripple Creek.
