You Care?
It cuts deep when you claim to care, Yet your absence leaves me in despair. Empty words, devoid of truth, Leaving wounds that won't easily soothe. Painful it is to hear you say, That you care, day after day. But your actions speak louder still, A void that your words cannot fulfill. You're never there, no matter how hard I've tried. It hurts to believe in your empty embrace, A charade of care, a cold, heartless chase. I yearn for your presence, your genuine touch, But your absence lingers, it hurts so much. So, spare me the words that echo untrue, If you're never there, what good will that do? Let silence speak louder, for it speaks the truth, A painful reality, my heart knows you. July 2nd 2023
