Yet, they found me anyway.
They said I was lost at night, fumbling blind without my light. They looked here, there, everywhere. The secrets I buried deep. I smiled underneath my teeth, hiding deep where no one's been. Concealed, but i was still seen. They thought I was scared and gone, but I hid within the gloom. I stayed where no one came, playing “victim” in their game. I thought I could not be found, Cause I moved without a sound. Still, they found me anyway. They thought I was weak and small But I was hiding through it all Faces that keep haunting me, Voices that keep taunting me. Hiding felt like being free, but they never want me free So, they found me anyway. Two things about being found. One discovers the lost soul, the other flees from harsh truth. Both truth twisting side by side Both accurate, both are us. Through hiding, hands were shaken. Found, is not always gentle. I was hiding, staying still, letting silence do its will. Even safe place can betray Even night cannot stay away. Every corner I had claimed. Every shadow I had tamed. Yet, they found me anyway.
