Yet Still I Go On
Pain sears through my body It never stops 24 hours a day 7 days a week Flares happening multiple times a day Yet still I go on My bones are replaced with anvils Mallets slam down on them over and over again The sound it creates amounts to the feeling of constant pain Yet still I go on I never have a break My mind and emotions are on a rollercoaster and there's no way off Thoughts race and wear me down Telling me I'm a burden I'm weak I'm a pitiful excuse for a human being Yet still I go on I face this pain every day I face these mood swings every day I greet the mornings with annoyance for sure But I at least wake up in the morning I make it to breakfast To lunch To dinner To bedtime Despite all the torture I go through I still go on
