Yesterday, Before Today
The scars on my wrist itch, I scratch to soothe, memories persist. Seeming too insignificant. I sit idle in life, surrounded by vagabonds and shit the clovers and flowers grow distant. To my right couples battling addiction living in tents, smelling of shame and piss. To my left in the far off distance a life I yurn for, so persistent. So colorful with people peaceful and pleasant. Not like their counterparts, so vague and pensive. I seek retribution, to be better than today. Even if I walk alone, I did as such this mile crutch. Before today, the crust and lies of yesterday.
