Yes I am a Villain
Yes, I am a villain, in your tale of woe, A shadow cast long, where light dared not go. But know this, my love, in the darkness I stand, Not by choice, but by fate’s cruel hand. You see the fangs, the claws I wield, But you forget the wounds they shield. Each scar a memory, each bruise a tear, A testament to love, twisted by fear. I loved you deeply, with all I could give, But love, in my grasp, ceased to live. It withered and broke, under my touch, A curse I bear, for loving too much. Your eyes see the monster, the beast within, But they miss the sorrow beneath this skin. For every crime, a heart was bled, For every sin, a tear was shed. I am the villain, yes, in your eyes so true, But villains feel pain, and villains love too. Behind this mask of hatred and lies, Is a heart that mourns what it crucifies. So call me a villain, call me the worst, But know this curse, is also a thirst— A thirst for redemption, a yearning for grace, A hope that one day, you'll see my true face. But until that day, I'll wear this crown, Of thorns and thistles, of loss and frown. Yes, I am a villain, in your world of pain, But in my own, love is all that remains.
