Yah Why I Have to Learn This W
Yashua my Father, why must I traverse The labyrinthine paths of life's travails and strife? Why do I have to learn through trials and tribulations' fire? I know I've never been perfect, a flawless gem to desire My imperfections are legion, my shortcomings a heavy weight Yet, I yearn to be pleasing to Your sight, to be a radiant light In the tapestry of Your creation, I'm but a fragile thread Why, oh why, must everything be so hard, Daddy, so hard to tread? Have You forgotten that I'm Your child, a scion of Your love? Do You not recall the covenant of our hearts, sent from above? I try to be all that You desire, to walk in the paths of righteousness To do what is right, to be a reflection of Your holy light, and Your infinite goodness But, Heavenly Father, I've cried enough, my tears have watered the earth And when I cry, it's as if You can't hear, or that my pleas are of little worth I feel like a prodigal child, lost and forsaken, with no direction to follow But still, I hold on to the hope that You'll hear my cry, and answer my heart's hollow In the darkness of my soul, I search for a glimmer of Your light A beacon to guide me through life's turbulent night I know that I'm not alone.
