Yah Hear My Cry
In the depths of my soul, a cacophony of pain resounds A symphony of sorrow, that echoes and abounds I have sought solace in the arms of mortals, but alas Their comfort is fleeting, their peace, a mere mirage My help comes from you, Yah, the Omnipotent and Divine The One who hears the whispers of the broken-hearted, and the cries of the oppressed So I cry loud to you, with a voice that trembles with fear Please, Yah, hear my cry, and wipe away my tears The pain is inside, a festering wound that refuses to heal A burden I have borne for quite awhile, a weight that presses and reveals The cracks in my armor, the fissures in my soul But you, Yah, are the Restorer, the One who makes all things whole Ooh, Daddy, open the gates of heaven, and shower me with blessings Pour out your Spirit, and anoint me with your healing essence Hear my cry, hear my cry, and answer me with your loving-kindness For I am but a vessel, fragile and weak, in need of your divine tenderness In the darkness of my night, I search for your loving light A beacon to guide me, through the treacherous paths of life I yearn for your presence, your peace, and your love To fill the void within me, and send the shadows fleeing above.
