Yah Don't Give On Me
Oh, Divine Providence, don't relinquish Your grasp on me now, For I stumble through life's labyrinth, with a child's simplicity and vow. In times of turmoil, I forget to seek Your guiding light, And in my hubris, I attempt to navigate life's complexities, only to falter in the night. I'm bereft of wisdom, a vessel empty and bare, Fill me with Your knowledge, that I may be transformed, and my spirit renewed with care. When I succumb to base desires, and blame You for my frailty, Forgive me, Lord, for my transgressions, and the deliberate neglect of prayerful intimacy. My flesh wars against my spirit, demanding satiation and pleasure, But You, oh Yah, remain steadfast, refusing to abandon me in my hour of need. My body may command, but Your mercy endures, Don't give up on me, Lord, for I am but a fragile vessel, prone to fissure. Hide me beneath the shelter of Your wings, where I may find solace and peace, Purify my heart, empty it of its impurities, that Your spirit may release. Renew the right spirit of my mind, and recreate my heart anew, That I may know You more intimately, and walk in the path that You ordain, with purpose true. Oh, Yah, I'm insufficient, unable to navigate life's trials alone.
