Yah Do it For My Kids
As I stand before Thee, a supplicant worn by time, My hands, a testament to endeavors both sublime and profane, Regrettable transgressions, a litany of disobedience and pride, Echoes of a past that whispers warnings, lest I forget. Yet, as I kneel in contrition, my heart overflows with paternal devotion, A plea to Thy benevolence, that the consequences of my actions May not besmirch the innocence of my children, nor imperil their future's promise. Oh, Yah, Thou who hast decreed, 'Let the little children come unto Me,' I beseech Thee, gracious Father, to provide for their well-being, to guide them through life's labyrinthine paths, To shield them from the reverberations of my mistakes, and to grant them wisdom to discern the straight and narrow way. I dedicate them to Thy loving care, a sacred trust, a heartfelt prayer, That Thou, in Thy infinite mercy, mayest bless them, keep them, and make Thy face shine upon them.
