The sun comes in through the window. It's bright rays warming the room. The darkness recedes from the lights glow. My demons stand around my bed and loom. When I open my eyes I'm disappointed. For I hoped Grim would visit me in my sleep. I see them all around and they are unwanted. “Lets get it over with” I say when I get to my feet. Walk to the bathroom while they follow. Whispering negativity constantly. The one I hate the most is in the mirror. And the demons begin laughing loudly. They know what I think for they are part of me. I menifested them when I was young. It wasn't intentional but accidentally. A side effect of all the pain someone has done. I ignore what they say for I've been here before. I put on my mask to complete my disguise. Get dress, grab my keys and head to the door. But before I walk out I hear a voice cry. “Daddy I love you” and a kiss before work. A walk out with a smile on my face happy to be alive. Even my demons stop for they know my kids' worth. For a moment I have peace and I know I'll survive. © Deoneloko
