WORDS I COULDN'T SAY.
Since my tears aren't allowed to die on my cheeks, Since my fists aren't allowed to kiss the wall, Since I cannot etch the words on my flesh, Since I am not seen nor heard, Let me at least be heard by those whose essence is no more, Let me at least be known where I'm headed, I am but a stranger where I yearn to fit in. I am scared. Scared to live, Scared to love, Scared to be loved and to be lived for, Scared of everything I want to hold close to me, Colour my soul with the words I ache to hear, With the story I want to tell, Silence my thoughts, Hold them captive in the catacombs of my heart. How can I love you when I cannot love myself? How can I love you when I'm scared to be loved as well? You can't pick up my broken pieces, I'm scared you'll hurt yourself trying to fix me, I now leave the subtle stains of what my tears are supposed be, If not my words, let them reveal what I couldn't, Let them reveal to you that which I'm scared of, Because I can't be what you want me to be when I'm barely what I'm supposed to be.
