They say it's for men, women, and children who were victims of sexual violence Then call it a Women's Center Every year sense we were 10 they send a woman And they play another video of another unsuspecting girl One was a girl in the swimming team with her revealing swimsuit The next was a girl who flirted too much at a party Always framing the girls as "unknowing and oblivious" As if we weren't raised with the warnings shoved down our throats Of the consequences for being born this way Blaming our silence on our fear of our persecutors And not the officers who raped a girl because "She was asking for it" Or the judges who send the men away on parol Blaming it on our "weakness" and our fearful silence As if they weren't silent themselves-
