W.O.E- Wounded Over Empathy
The world's a tapestry of hearts, each beating. Some whole, some frayed, all needing something fleeting. I twine my threads with theirs, their joys alight. Their sorrows pierce, a constant, burning blight. Yet, in this weave, a strength we find. A solace shared, a love that binds. Each tender sigh, a whispered plea. I echo back in sympathy. I listen deeply, their heart unfolds. A tear-stained face, a story untold. Their fractured world, a puzzle's plight. I see the gaps, and shed new light. Though threads may break, we'll mend and weave. A tapestry of strength, for all to believe. I long to hold their burdens close. But I feel my own strength starting to decompose. The threads I bind, begin to fray. Can love endure, when empathy gives way?
