Witnessed by Selenophiles
Here I am, lost in a fantasy of you. Whenever I close my eyes, You rise in my lunatic dream world, Where your arms are wrapped around me. I breathe in your warm, masculine scent, And in that moment, I dare to call you mine. We sit beneath the wide willow tree, Its branches guarding us From the frozen wind. Your giant arms hold me close, As if no soul could ever pull us apart. Your slow, steady breath Whispers that I am safe. A soft violin hums in the background While we speak about nothing— Yet everything. In your eyes, I see thousands of moons, And I let myself dissolve into you. Our souls feel sealed, Witnessed by silent selenophiles of the night. I don’t want to wake from this dream. Until my last breath, I wish to live this bitter-butter life Somewhere between pain and sweetness, With you.
