Without You, Mom
I sometimes wonder what would remain, If Mom’s presence were lost in the rain, In the stillness of an empty home, I’d feel like a heart forever alone. I sometimes question where I'd find, The strength and love that you’ve left behind, If your laughter and your gentle touch, Were memories I could no longer clutch. I sometimes muse, how would I cope, With your absence taking away my hope? In every shadow of your care, I’d yearn for the warmth that’s no longer there.
