WITH THE SUNSET
today I stare into the sunset, beyond the fiery ball, is home that place where I once dreamt dreams of standing on the tallest hill taller than the woodless hillock that the sun falls behind every dusk I dreamt to see the word beyond beyond the hills I called home beyond the cows and goats I chased when I was a playful boy now I'm beyond those hills looking into the sunset again back to where it all began not that I achieved what I dreamt might have fallen, might have missed but beyond the sunset I'll return not a broken or lost soul but one sharpened beyond measure one who left the hills of his home tarried into lands unknown got tried and fell, but did he give up? you are about to find out
