With A Smile
The fires of passion have long burned out, All the roses are dead. You'll never touch my body again, unless it's in visions in your head. I'm no longer yours, and you were never mine. All the times you said you loved me, now I know that you were lying. You'll never hear me call your name, I'll no longer ask for your help. You never cared when I was there, You didn't give a damn about how I felt. You crafted your own noose, and you thought it was a joke Until the chair fell away and left you swing by your throat And as your life flashes before you, All you can focus on is the pain Imagine living every day with with that feeling flowing in your veins. And I did it, I did it well I put on my best smile and held my head up as I walked through the gates if hell But you and I are not the same, I endured a lifetime and you can't survive an hourglasses single grain.
