Winter's Burial
Autumn goes, winter comes, heartbreak’s foes, wasted rums, I’ve loved you amid the changing trees, You left me when kaleidoscope ceased. Howling wind, blazing storm, your heart was whole, mine was torn, the night was frozen with unhappy tears, the moon melted with your heart of steel. All hopes are gone yet memories stay, your eyes are bright, your love is gray, you left me with a shovel amid the snow, I dug a grave for one, not two. You painted a sky of orange and red, yet framed it in hues of sorrowful blue, when wreath of hollies is pasted at your door, buy me funeral flowers from the store. ©reddragonfly⚘
