Winter is Coming
In whispers heard through chilling breeze, Winter is coming, nature decrees, A hush descends, the air turns cold, Silence prevails in frosty fold, Awaiting tales yet to be told. Leaves crinkle, their vibrant hues fade, As snowflakes dance in the serenade, Darkness lengthens its nightly reign, The world dons a cloak of icy chain, A season's shift, an ancient refrain. Silent echoes of the coming frost, In whispering secrets, all is embossed, In the quiet, a dormant spree, A realm awaits in silent decree, Winter's arrival, a grand esprit. Yet 'neath the snow, life does sleep, Dreaming of springs, promises to keep, For in this cycle of freeze and thaw, Hope lingers, a resilient awe, Winter's end, its final draw.
