Will You Come Back

Will you come back—as you promised? Or will every hour I spent waiting for you just end up in vain? How many more minutes, days, weeks, months or years will I devote to a return that is not certain? It is very difficult to hold on to a promise, especially when you don't know if the one who made it will return. It hurts to wait… especially when the one you are waiting for may no longer be there. So perhaps, the question is no longer whether you will come back— but whether I can wait for you until the day you return...
