Will it end?
Parents yelling, it's hard to take, It feels like my heart is about to break. I try to be good, I try to do right, But it seems like I'm always in their sight. The words they say, they cut like a knife, And it's hard to deal with, in my life. I wish they could see, how much it hurts, And how it feels like I'm always in the dirt. But I know they love me, in their own way, And they're just trying to help me, day by day. It's not easy being a parent, I know, And they're doing their best, to help me grow. But sometimes it's hard, to see the good, When all I hear is yelling, like I'm misunderstood. I wish I could tell them, how I feel inside, But it's hard to find the words, when I want to hide. So I take a deep breath, and I try to be strong, And I remind myself, that I'm not wrong. I have a voice, and I deserve to be heard, And I'll find a way, to speak up with my words. I'll tell them how I feel, and what I need, And I'll ask them to listen, and to take heed. I'll remind them that I'm their child, and I need their love, And that yelling at me, won't help me rise above. I know it won't be easy, but I'll try my best, To speak up with love, and to put their yelling to rest. And I'll remember that I'm not alone.
