Why should I
In the morning's haze, uncertainty looms, Shadows of doubt in life's vast rooms. Why face the day not knowing the score, If it's the last, we'll see forevermore? Fear's icy grip in the grocery aisles, Echoes of dread, silent trials. Six feet under or a hospital bed, Uncertainty's blanket, heavy and dread. In school's corridors, whispers of fear, Will I return? Or disappear? Children's laughter should echo loud, Not mournful tears, a shroud. Why should innocence bear this weight, In the hands of fate, left to fate? To adjust to the terror, only fourteen, A heavy burden, cruel and keen. Yet in the quiet of the night's embrace, We send our pleas to a higher place. For another day, another chance to borrow, Live today, no time for sorrow. Embrace the joy, dance in the sun, For tomorrow's path is yet unwon. In life's fleeting breath, let laughter flow, For in the end, none truly know.
