Why Paralysis of Self -Determi
Why, oh Lord, does the weight of self-decision beset me with such existential trepidation? Why do the crossroads of life's journey confound me, rendering me incapable of discerning my deepest desires? Why does the clarion call of my own voice falter, reduced to a mere whisper, as I struggle to articulate my innermost longings? Why, oh Lord, do I crave the validation of others, seeking solace in their approval, rather than trusting the instincts of my own heart? How did You, in Your infinite wisdom, fashion me, a unique tapestry of strengths and vulnerabilities? What archetype of humanity did You intend for me to embody, and what virtues did You instill within me to guide me along life's winding path? Who am I, Lord, stripped of the external validation, the masks I wear, and the expectations of others? Who is the authentic self, hidden beneath the layers of conditioning, waiting to be unearthed, and set free? I confess, Lord, that I have prioritized the needs of others, subordinating my own desires to the whims of those around me. But what of my own identity, my own aspirations, my own sense of purpose? Did You not create me, too, with a unique destiny, a sacred calling, waiting to be fulfilled?
