why not the poem?

All these poems about being the poet and not the poem,But Why not the poet? I personally love being the poet seeing the sparkle in his eyes when I write about him i don't have to be the poem to make myself happy I get to see his Brown eyes sparkle and that little smile he gives me as he covers his mouth. so why not the poet?
