WHY LET GO?
why let go? when I've suffered so, When every tears have fallen like snow, Each piece, a memory now dust in the wind, Each step,a struggle to move forward to being. Why let go? When I've fought To keep you close, to keep you near A weight so heavy ,I struggle to stand tall Yet, I must let go, though I falter, though I resist. Why let go ?when I've suffered so When each moment without you is a wound,a blow When memories of you dances in my brain I hold on tight but they won't let me sleep The love once cherished now turn to dust Why let go?when it's all trust But in the silence, a whisper calls It speaks of healing, and tear-stained walls It says that freedom lies beyond the pain That letting go is not in vain So I release the chains that bind my soul I embrace the wounds that make me whole I let go, not to forget, but to find A new beginning, in the depths of my mind So why let go, when I've suffered so To find the peace that I've yet to know To breathe, to live, to love once more That's why I let go, and my heart can soar.
