why I don't date

I get asked why I don't date while I'm still young, and they shoot a weird face when I answer them. the truth is I don't date because I'm scared. I like to read,write,and listen about love and relationships, but then when it's me, I don't want it. I hurt people because I get bored. I hate people because they always walk away. I have no interest in having a relationship when I don't even want a friendship. all people have shown me is pain, and I have no interest in letting anyone do that again.
