Why Did You Go?
She was the light, he the flame, Their love was young, with passion's name. She fell for him, with heart so true, But circumstances changed, and she had to break through. She walked away, with tears in her eyes, Leaving him behind, with a silent surprise. No questions asked, no words were said, Just a hollow space, where love once was fed. He remained still, with a heart so cold, While she carried the weight, of a love grown old. The silence between them, a chasm wide, A love that faded, without a reason to abide. Why didn't he ask, why she had to go? Was it pride, or a heart that didn't know? The answers remained, locked deep inside, A mystery that time, would not divide. -unknown
