Why Am I Still Stuck?(II)
Seventh grade came, and everything shattered. My mind went dark. My heart grew quiet. I stopped chasing dreams and started surviving hours. They moved on. Those same friends who stood beside me while the world blurred. They’ve made peace. They’ve found joy. They’re not stuck anymore. But I am. Why can’t I move on? Why can’t I go back to the version of me that still believed? Why do I still hope they're struggling too— just so I won’t feel so alone in this? I know I shouldn’t. I know it's not right. But we were all in the same storm… so why does it feel like I’m the only one still drowning? I miss focus. I miss energy. I miss feeling like I had a future. Now, all I do is ache for a past I can't return to and a self I don't know how to be again.
