Why?
My friends all have depression, They come to me with puffy eyes. I'm constantly worried about them Because I know they want to die. I look in the mirror and have instant regrets, That girl's not how she used to be. She's far too sad and annoying, That girl would be me. That person on the street doesn't have a home. That person is raising a child, all on their own. That person eats lunch in the bathroom stall. That person doesn't have anyone at all. That one left us at 38. That one cried like never before. That one had a heart attack from losing her child. And that one, we don't see anymore. A poem full of tortured souls, My family, my friends, and I. I know there are so many more. But may I ask, why?
