Why!
In the haze of confusion, I linger with grace, A willing inhabitant of this tangled space. No fight left to flee, no plea to be free I've bowed to the chaos, admitted it's me. I deserve this, I whisper, through storms in my mind, The knots and the riddles that leave me behind. A crown of bewilderment, heavy and true, I wear it with pride, for it's rightfully due. Yet in quiet moments, when shadows grow long, A question arises, a soft, aching song: Why always me? Why this endless refrain? The fog that envelops, the perpetual rain? Is it fate's cruel jest, or a lesson disguised? A mirror reflecting the paths I have prized? In confusion's embrace, I find strange delight For here, in the questions, I burn ever bright. Always happy in turmoil, yet pleading for why, I dance with the unknown beneath a gray sky. Deserving the whirl, yet forever I'll ask: Why always me, in this beautiful task?
