Whispers of Solitude
Sometimes I’m lost, unsure which way to go, I find myself wanting to be alone, Lying in bed where silence surrounds, Hoping no one disturbs the peace I’ve found. I’m in a place where my mind leads astray, And my conscience whispers in the wrong way. I wonder why the world’s harshness won’t cease, What have I done to deserve such a release? Yet still I lay, seeking solace in the night, Longing for an end to this inner fight. But deep down I know, through darkness I’ll see, A way to rise above, and set myself free.
