Whispers In The Wind
I hear unknown voices, whispers in my ear, Calling my name, a familiar tone so clear. I rush to find the source, a face to claim, But like a fleeting dream, they're gone, and I'm left with pain. The echoes linger, a haunting melody, A bittersweet reminder of what's not there to see. I search the shadows, the silence, and the night, But the voices vanish, leaving me with just a faint light. Who are you, whisperers? What do you want to say? Why do you call my name, and then fade away? I'm left with questions, and a heart that's unsure, A longing for connection, a soul that's pure. In the emptiness, I strain to hear, A whispered promise, a gentle word, a loving peer. But the silence is deafening, the stillness cold, And I'm left with only memories, and a heart that's grown old.
