Whispers in the wall
At midnight’s toll, the candles die, The wind forgets to scream. The house exhales a hollow sigh, Like something trapped in dream. The floorboards creak with no one near, The shadows twist and bend. A whisper snakes into your ear: “I’ve waited, little friend.” The mirror shows not just your face— Another stands behind. Its eyes are dark, devoid of grace, Its grin is cold, unkind. You turn—but no one’s there at all, Just silence, thick and deep. Yet footsteps echo down the hall, Where no one wa You close your eyes and count to ten, Pretend it’s all pretend... But when you wake, you’re not alone— the creature is always watching you
