whispers in the dark
In the silent hours when shadows creep, A hollow voice begins to seep, Telling tales of long-lost fears, Echoes of forgotten tears. Beneath the moon’s cold, ghostly glow, Secrets of the darkness grow, Whispering truths too dark to bear, Of hollow souls and vacant stare. Lurking in the corners of the mind, Fears we hide, so cruel, so blind, A nightmare’s grip, tight and cold, Stories of the brave turned old. The shadows stretch their icy hands, Reminding us of life’s fragile strands, That one day all our hope may fade, Lost in the darkness we have made. Yet in the gloom, a flicker remains, A whisper of hope amid the pains, Though fear may haunt and sorrow stain, We carry light through the shadow’s reign.
