Whispers
I can still hear her voice in my heart, no words, just whispers. Just before the edge of silence. They come to me without rest, always pulling the memories back. Endlessly. Needlessly. Dreams without sleep. My eyes start tracing shadows, as a flatline grasping at another pulse. Adoration of the moment where i hope to find her, hoping not to find her, and her whispers. Within a thought, I feel a artic breeze of emotions. Ever frost across a lifetime I would never have. My soul touched by her sepulchral Spirit dancing with memories we never shared. Those shadows circling my body like a halo of ravens, she resurrects her kiss and tells me she loves me, in whispers. One more dawn, one more dusk. I rest my pulse, spellbound. One last tear as I promise not to call for her again. I say goodbye to the night, in whispers....
