Whispers
Your face swirls in my dreams, like a wave of recognition. Though as many times as I may try to reach you, you're already gone. Your voice, static and broken, but still as haunting as the nights long ago. Your smile faded and your heart unrecognizable. I loved you and still do, down to the very marrow of my bones. I was angry and pain swept through my soul Like winters icy storm. However, how can one hate the very soul that gave them life. Why spend my days in agony, when even roses have thorns. Many things I said I shouldn't, many things unsaid I should've. The mystery is itself, one so focused on one's pain, and the other confused of their own. Words spill from my mouth like rusted nails, and I'm left with the penetration of memories in my soul. Not all that is bad is evil, not all that weeps are sad. Carry yourself and those around you, for one day will be your last. Remember the good from the bad and respect what was is now a dream. For souls will always linger, and some have tears to weep.
