While the Petal Falls
A petal slips, no wind, no rush, just grace, a soft revolt against the branch’s clutch. It falls, a quiet punctuation mark in the sentence of a spring afternoon. And while it floats, a weightless little leaf in free descent through open air. A child is born in Boston, a satellite hums over Cairo, a dancer in Seoul lands a perfect turn, someone in Lagos laughs so hard they cry. Emails blink, traffic flows, coffee cools beside a keyboard. The stock market jumps, then dips again. A heart breaks. A heart mends. All of this, in the breath between tree and ground, in the hush of that falling petal. So if the world can whirl like that, so loud, so vast, so full. while something so small takes its sweet time letting go, maybe it’s not our job to hold it all. Maybe we’re here to notice. To trust. To dance while the timeline spins, and love, and lose, and try again. Because even in the blink. where you couldn’t stop a single fall, you lived. And that was everything.
