WHERE YOU USED TO BE.....
You vanished like a note the wind took, No goodbye, no trace, just empty space. The world kept moving, but I’m still there In the places where your laughter had a place. I call it missing, but it’s more than that — It’s talking to silence and hoping you answer. It’s keeping old photos where the light still catches The way your smile used to make the room warmer. We had plans that never got their turn, Jokes that only we understood, Dreams we whispered late at night That now live only in my solitude. I don’t know where you went, or why, And maybe that’s the part that cuts the most. But your memories don’t miss — they stay. They sit beside me like a quiet ghost. And maybe one day the silence will break, Maybe I’ll hear your voice again, Until then I’ll hold what I have close: The gift of knowing you, even for a while. Because missing you means you mattered. And that’s something no absence can take away. Written by Ian Kyalo "The little boy's dream" Kenya ,Africa
