Where We Begin
We all hide. Little pieces of ourselves, tucked away, only showing what feels safe, what we want others to see. And yet, while I’m hiding, I tell myself I’m protecting. But when you hide, I call it deception. Same act, different name. Funny thing is, we’re never as hidden as we think. People see more than we realize, and we see far less than we assume. That’s why conflict feels sharp, what I call safety might look like betrayal to you. Honesty doesn’t grow under pressure. It grows where there is safety. Where curiosity replaces judgment. Where listening is louder than suspicion. That’s when the dark begins to loosen its grip. That’s when what’s hidden finally dares to step into the light.
