Where the rain knocked
She was watching the dark sky Whispering " the rain will come soon" The Wind slipped through her window Scattering paintings and poems Across the floor She heard knocking in her door As it always did. A new shadow at her door-- But the same silenced followed He looked tired... Spoke of how the strom suddenly came He layed In her bad telling her How beautiful she was But never once asked What stroms lived inside her. The rain stopped The paintings and the poem, Still slept quietly on her floor. The man stood, Was about to leave.... But-- He turned back, As if something had slipped his mind. And for a moment, Her heart Whispered: "Maybe he saw the paintings.. Maybe the poem reached him?" "You'd look perfect in a painting" He said!!
