Where Our Bridge Supports Lie
I can't hear anything Just the whisperings Working overtime My hands the blisterings Got a good handle Swinging into a sledge Weakening support The beams under our bridge The liquid in a flask Soon will wash it all away I see you on the other side Commence to pray Wishing that the bridge Was just a street To catch me when the ground Disappears under my feet The flood waters Me away, they carry Under mud's eye Me, in coffin, will bury Unbecomes me An unforgettable memory Waves fading waves From an uncharted sea I recognize I don't Recognize the mirror Never to anyone have I An image vaguely clearer Nothing would ever I Have been as imperfect Between points A and Z Never have been as indirect I always wear the face I think you want me to It's the only facade I know how to do My lies the only things I know to be true They hold me up Hold me together, my glue In a state of shock I'm so surprised I couldn't save the bridges I built with my lies This life is difficult It's been so rough Not sure how long This glue will be enough To hold me....... Hold me up
