Where love must sleep
I touched your hand where the night kissed the day, And felt something happened with one glance. Yet even the stars must die and cease away, Though my heart still aches for one more stolen dance. No fault in you, nor it is absent of grace - It is I who walk where love must learn to sleep. A vow which i made to Him, who dwells above this place, Where desires burn but silence buries deep. You’ll hear no knock, no whisper of your name, No clouds cast to darken your gentle skies. Many things are left unsaid, I leave them without a flame - Now remain silent winds and shedding goodbyes. Be cheerful, beloved, where your mornings rise. Adieu, Goodbye beautiful - no more shall I reprise.
