When you sit in a dark corner
When you sit in a dark corner you realise so much that your mind tried ignoring How silence can echo louder than the thoughts you kept outrunning It's funny because you're breaking your own heart but continue doing the same thing Like tracing old cracks with your fingers, calling the pain a kind of home Trying to bond with some kind of light but realising the darkness in your heart is your only home Yet somehow the shadows know your shape better than any dawn ever did And maybe naming the weight isn't drama — it's just learning the language of what hurts When overthinking hits a limit but is it not just yourself tryna protect yourself from any pain coming in the future So you build walls from worst-case scenarios, calling the blueprint survival I guess been alone is the only way of protection Until the fortress starts to feel like a cell, and the guard you posted forgets your name.
